Bob Watkins, President & Chairman, established R.J. Watkins & Company, Ltd. in 1980 with offices in San Diego, San Francisco, London, and until recently, Hong Kong.  His experience includes President & CEO of a $200 million entertainment company and Managing Director for the San Diego office of the international consulting firm of Russell Reynolds Associates.  He has held executive positions with American Hospital Supply Corporation, serving on the corporation's acquisition and divestiture team.  He also served as Management Consultant for the national accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. 

 

Bob currently participates on the Boards of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation, San Diego Regional Airport Authority, San Diego County Board of Education, Meals on Wheels, Urigen, Regenesis Biomedical, Inc., and is the Chairman of the United States Rugby Foundation.  He is a partner in Tollbridge Ventures LLC; Aztec Venture Network, LLC, a seed capital venture fund.  He is a founding member and Trustee of the San Diego National Sports Foundation, the organizer and builder of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego.  Bob also served as Chairman of the Lincoln Club of San Diego.  He previously served on the Board of Directors for San Diego International Sports Council and the YMCA of San Diego County; was Chairman of the Board of the San Diego County American Red Cross; and was the President of the San Diego Natural History Museum’s Board of Trustees.  He is also a founding member and three-term President of United States Rugby.  Bob is a graduate of San Diego State University.

Bradley J. Little > blittle@rjwatkins.com

Bradley J. Little has been active in the professional services sector since 1990, relocating to San Diego in 2001. 

Brad's primary practice area is in the placement of senior executives in the technology, semiconductor, software and communications sectors.  He brings substantial expertise in Data Communications, Broadband, Infrastructure and Wireless technologies.  His clients have ranged from large organizations such as Nokia, Xerox and Kodak to pre-funded technologists.  

Prior to founding Venture Placements LLC, Brad was a partner with Egon Zehnder International's High Technology Practice Group.  Prior to that, Brad's resume includes President of an Orange County Enterprise Software Company serving the Data Security sector (Informer Data Security), Vice President of Marketing for a $300 million Computer Hardware Manufacturer (Emerson Electric, Computer Power Division), Vice President of Marketing for a leading San Diego developer of Document Publishing Software (Xerox � Ventura Publisher) and Director of Advanced Development Programs for a leading Defense Contractor (Gould Electronics, Defense Business Unit).

Brad holds a Bachelor of Science (Systems Engineering) from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from the Anderson School (UCLA).  He has also been licensed as the Chief Engineer of a Naval Nuclear Propulsion System.

Brad is a retired Naval Officer who makes his home in Alpine, CA with his wife and two children.  He is active in the Community, serving on a variety of Boards and Service Organizations including the San Diego Telecom Council, the Blue and Gold Organization and others.  He also volunteers on behalf of the Grossmont Union High School District assisting at Granite Hills High School.

Vaughn Mulder > vmulder@rjwatkins.com

Vaughn Mulder is responsible for the management of R. J. Watkins & Company's Northern California Office.  He is a well-known professional who has been active in the Technology sector since 1990.

Prior to joining R. J. Watkins & Company, Vaughn held a variety of International Business Development roles.  Most recently he represented the Welsh Development Agency in North America.  His primary focus in this role has been investment of Technology, Life Sciences, Film and Entertainment in the Welsh Economic Zone.  Vaughn has focused on business development on the West Coast with active interests with Nevada's Gaming industry, Northern California's Telecommunications sector and the Life Sciences arena in San Diego.

Vaughn is well known throughout the Bay Area and has developed strategic relationships with a variety of key industry associations, consulting groups, the investment fraternity, academia and public companies.   He has particular expertise in the global expansion of early-stage technology companies.

In addition to his role at R. J. Watkins & Company, Vaughn maintains an on-going interest in Economic Development Organizations and holds advisory positions with a range of companies in industries such as transportation, toys, new media and communications in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Vaughn serves as a Board Member of the British American Chamber of Commerce.  He received his PhD in Management Studies from the Cardiff School, University of Wales for research into computerized manufacturing systems.
